Content Slider Module 01.01.01 Released

Content Slider Module for DotNetNukeI need to get back on track with having a blog post ready for each and every DotNetNuke module release I make.  In this case, I definitely wanted to make it a point to have an update here in the blog.  There have been 4 different releases of the Content Slider module since this module was first made available two months ago.  As it turns out, there is a lot of demand for this module.  After all, there have already been over a thousand downloads so far.  Not bad for being in the wild for 8 weeks.

There have been several updates, bug fixes, and enhancements over the past four releases that I didn’t make the time to properly tell you about.  Here is a summary of those.

  • Fixed a few bugs around the Link feature
  • Fixed a few module option bugs
  • Repaired the ability to set various transitions (thanks, Aderson!)
  • Added the ability to schedule sliders to appear/disappear
  • Made the embedded jQuery plugins optional to help prevent conflicts with other modules, skins, etc.

There are some other updates that have made it in as well, but they are quite minor, and therefore not worth mentioning.

Take a moment to try out the Content Slider module for DNN today.  Give it a spin and let me know how it works out for you.
