Do You Develop Websites? WebsiteSpark Might Be For You!

Microsoft recently had the excellent idea of helping out start up companies with their software needs by creating the BizSpark program. That program had become quite popular. So popular, in fact, that my company, RezHub is a member. Like BizSpark, WebsiteSpark is a similar program whose goal is to make it easier for website developers to start up. They take the burden of the cost of software off of your hands for up to 3 years!
I am not just here to tell you about WebsiteSpark, but I am here to also help you sign up. That’s right! I am a Network Partner, so let me know if you are interested in FREE SOFTWARE! Hehehe…
What Do You Get?
What do you get with the WebsiteSpark program? That’s easy:
- Increased visibility and connections with network partners and hosts
- Two professional support tickets
- Free online training
- Access to MSDN newsgroups
- Visual Studio 2008 Professional Edition
- Expression Studio 2
- Expression Web 2
- Windows Web Server 2008
- SQL Server 2008 Web
I kept the list pretty general, as there are several other benefits for you to have.
What Does it Cost?
Initially, it costs you nothing. At the end of the 3 year membership period, you just need to pay a small $100.00 USD exit fee.
There are a ton of other things to know, but I promise you that it’s all good stuff! I would encourage you to check out the WebsiteSpark program website for yourself to make up your own mind. When you’re ready, contact me, and I will get you signed up!
Do I Qualify?
In the very least, in order to qualify to participate in the WebsiteSpark program, you just need to be developing a website solution using Microsoft technologies. If you need a web host, no problem! WebsiteSpark has a list of Hosting Partners that offer free 12-month hosting for those of you that are in the program. My favorite is Applied Innovations. Yep, they’re a Hosting Partner!
This is perfect for those of us that use DotNetNuke® since it’s already on the Microsoft platform – that makes it super easy!
Are You Already in the Program?
If you’re already in the program, please leave a comment to let everyone know how much you love it!

Hi Will,
Websitespark looks great, especially as you can download all the latest versions of the software whilst you are signed up.

FYI: The German DotNetNuke Usergroup just has become a WebsiteSpark Partner and is able to invite and support DotNetNuke members from Germany and Europe (see www.dnn-usergroup.de/Community/WebSiteSpark.aspx)
