I just checked my downloads again and noticed something that you will all be pleased about...

I hope I am not stepping on any toes with this blog entry...  If I am, please let me know so that I don't do it again.  :)

DotNetNuke® Corporation has been working hard in several directions simultaneously.  I remember it wasn't all that long ago when the release of Cambrian was going to come after version 4.08.02.  A few security patches and a bunc of time later, things have changed.

For one, we will be seeing DotNetNuke® version 4.09.00 get released prior to Cambrian.  I have looked through the change log, and there are many great things to look forward to in this release.  I can easily see why they chose to go to this version prior to Cambrian.  FYI - that change log is dynamic, so depending on when you look at that link, there could be a completely different version listed atop that page.

DNN v4.09.00 is in the second round of its release candidate stage right now.  If nothing show-stoppinng gets reported shortly, we should see this get released in 1-2 weeks.

The other exciting thing is that I saw that Cambrian has been upgraded to Beta 7.  It had been seemingly stagnant in its Beta 6 stage.  My excitement has been reignited.  It is downloading as I type.  I intend to install and play with it today.  I will let you know how it goes!
