One of the hundreds of things that I have feeding into my RSS reader is a feed for quotes.  While many of them I simply dismiss as a waste of time, this one amused me:

"Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning."  - Rick Cook

I have not idea which Rick Cook was supposedly quoted as saying this, so here is who I think it is.  :)
